BDE: Rebbetzin Sarah Schlesinger, a"h, Matriarch of Prominent Monsey Rabbonim

From Yerushalayim comes the sad news of the passing of Rebbetzin Sarah Schlesinger, the mother of Rav Yisroel Dovid shlit"a av"d Sharei Tefilah, and Rav Yehoshua Elozor Schlesinger, shlit"a, prominent and esteemed rabbonim in Monsey. 

The Rebbetzin was the daughter of Rav Chaim Tzvi Kruger, zt"l, an esteemed rov in Europe and in America, and the head of Agudas Harabanim of the U.S. and Canada. 

She was the rebbetzin of, ybl"ch, Rav Shmuel Akiva Schlesinger of Strasbourg, France, and together they raised an esteemed family of rabbonim, marbitzei Torah, Bnei Torah, and supporters of Torah. 

For all her years, the Rebbetzin stood at the right hand of her husband, assisting him in all of his Torah endeavors and leadership. 

The Rebbetzin leaves behind beautiful Torah generations which remain an everlasting credit to her. 

The levaya is taking place this afternoon in Yerushalayim, and she will be interred on Har Hamenuchos.
