Police Pursuit Ends in Mahwah Crash and Gun-Point Arrest

A high-speed police pursuit originating from Rockland County resulted in a crash and gun-point arrest in Mahwah yesterday evening.
The chase involved a pickup truck driver who collided with a police cruiser and several civilian vehicles.
The incident began in Suffern and concluded at the end of Avenue A around 5:30 p.m. Two officers reportedly sustained minor injuries during the pursuit.
Firefighters were called to the scene to extricate the driver from his silver pickup truck. The extent of his injuries remains unclear at this time.
The initial pursuit was conducted by Ramapo and Suffern police for reasons that have not yet been disclosed.
