Senator Bill Weber Secures $1.8 Million Grant Funding for Rockland County Law Enforcement

Senator Bill Weber has announced a significant milestone in bolstering law enforcement capabilities in Rockland County. A total of $1.8 million in Law Enforcement Technology (LETECH) Grants has been secured, thanks to Senator Weber's advocacy and support.
Funded through this year's Capital Projects budget (S.8304D), which received Senator Weber's backing, these grants are poised to make a substantial impact on law enforcement operations across the county.
The grants have been allocated to various law enforcement agencies in Rockland County as follows:
- Clarkstown Police Department: $807,588
- Haverstraw Police Department: $185,000
- Orangetown Police Department: $100,000
- Ramapo Police Department: $177,000
- Rockland County Sheriff’s Office: $180,000
- Village of Piermont Police Department: $168,000
- Village of Spring Valley Police Department: $131,405
- Village of Suffern Police Department: $74,500
The awarded grants will facilitate the acquisition of new technology and equipment, empowering law enforcement agencies to enhance their capabilities in crime prevention and resolution. With the deployment of state-of-the-art technology, law enforcement personnel will be better equipped to tackle emerging challenges and uphold public safety standards effectively.
