Senator Bill Weber Honors Rockland Resident Chaim Lebovitz for Saving Lives During COVID

Yesterday afternoon a ceremony took place at Senator Bill Weber’s district office in Nanuet to honor Rockland County resident Chaim Lebovitz for his Covid-19 Plasma Initiative.
Chaim Lebovitz, who is the CEO of The CSL Group, a shoe
import and wholesale company, is well known for his advocacy and for going out
of his way to help others navigate the often confusing and harsh medical world.
During the Covid-19 pandemic he spearheaded the plasma initiative, which saved thousands
of lives through monoclonal antibody infusions.
The initiative started in March of 2020 in New Rochelle,
after which Lebovitz worked with Refuah to set up additional blood bank locations
across the tri-state area and in Michigan. Before long he was helping dozens of
blood banks across the Unites States and working on social media campaigns to encourage
those with antibodies to donate blood.
"When COVID struck Chaim Lebovits saw a need in the
community, utilized his unique problem-solving skills cultivated as a
businessman, and set his mind on acquiring supplies of Convalescent Plasma as a
means to effectively combat COVID-19, starting with donating his own plasma to
help those in need,” Senator Bill Weber said at yesterday’s ceremony. “His
efforts to establish Monoclonal Antibody infusion sites across the country
reflect Chaim's compassion for all."
"I am extremely humbled to have been selected to be
honored with this award," Lebovitz shared. "I have tremendous respect
for Senator Weber, who goes out of his way to help people every day."
