Photo Gallery: After Just a Few Years of Construction, Skver Chasidim Prepare for Historic First Tefilah in New Shul
By Rockland Daily Staff
Over the past two years, Rockland Daily has kept its readers informed with numerous updates and galleries throughout the entire process of building the massive new shul in New Square.
The time has finally come: this Motzei Shabbos, thousands of Skverer chasidim will gather for the first Tefilah, marking the inaugural tefilah in the gigantic shul.
In recent weeks, work on the shul continued around the clock, with nearly 300 workers on-site at any given time, representing dozens of companies and departments, all working together to ensure the shul's completion for this momentous occasion.
According to reports, a large seder halimud will take place Motzei Shabbos, followed by Tehillim in honor of the shul's inauguration, and then Selichos, as the minhag.
As previously reported by Rockland Daily, a grand curtain has been placed on the Mizrach wall to enhance the shul's appearance while the walls are still unfinished, along with additional curtains on the galleries and other enhancements.
