Search for Missing Swimmer Resumes; Man Presumed Dead

By Rockland Daily Staff
As Rockland Daily reported yesterday, local search groups took part in the search after a drowning incident yesterday at Long Pond Marina in Greenwood Lake.
Reports initially suggested a person drowned at around 2:40pm and a life vest was observed floating, but the man did not resurface.
At dusk, after hours of searching, the search for the man was suspended due to safety concerns of searching at night and the presumption of his death.
This morning, the search has resumed with fewer teams involved. It is now considered a recovery mission rather than a search.
