A suspicious package reported at the Rockland County Clerk’s Office on Friday afternoon led to a swift response from law enforcement and the bomb squad, though it was ultimately deemed non-threatening.
At approximately 12:09 PM, the Rockland County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a package that appeared suspicious. Patrol units, along with the Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU), immediately responded to the scene and secured the area.
The BDU took custody of the package and conducted a thorough examination. After a careful inspection, officials confirmed that the contents were non-hazardous and posed no threat to the public.
