Ramapo Police Department Bids Farewell to Lieutenant Anthony Giardina After 27 Years of Service

The Ramapo Police Department is honoring the retirement of Lieutenant Anthony Giardina, who has dedicated 27 years to serving the community. Lt. Giardina leaves behind a legacy of leadership, innovation, and commitment to law enforcement.
Throughout his career, Lt. Giardina played a pivotal role in the department, notably as Ramapo’s first K9 officer, where he was instrumental in developing and expanding the program. His influence extended beyond K9 operations, as he also oversaw the department’s Intern Program and successfully led the agency through re-accreditation as the NYS Law Enforcement Accreditation Program Manager.
A strong advocate for professional development, Lt. Giardina further distinguished himself as a graduate of Session 278 of the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the Ramapo Police Department and the officers he mentored throughout his tenure.
