Sloatsburg Fire Department Receives $10,000 Grant
By Idy Perl
The Sloatsburg Fire Department was awarded a grant from the State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program and the National Volunteer Fire Council.
The Sloatsburg Fire Department was selected for a $10,000 grant, an investment that will go directly toward the purchase of state-of-the-art Thermal Imaging Cameras, which help firefighters detect heat and temperatures, and Fire Pagers, which help them communicate while actively responding to emergencies.
These tools will allow the Sloatsburg Fire Department be better prepared to respond to local fires and help keep the firefighters safe.
