Haverstraw Police Arrest Wanted Thief

By Idy Perl

The Haverstraw Police have arrested Jeffrey Reader, a resident of Staten Island, who was wanted in connection to a burglary that occured in Pomona back in March.

Reader was found and arrested by the Haverstraw Police yesterday in Staten Island, and was brought back to Rockland where he was charged with Burglary 3rd degree (Class D Felony), Criminal Mischief 4th degree (Class A Misdemeanor) and Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor).

After being arrraigned, Reader was taken into custody of the Rockland County Correctional Facility.

It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
