Hatzoloh of Rockland Welcomes New Night Shift Response Vehicle

Tonight, Hatzoloh of Rockland County is inaugurating a brand new, state-of-the-art response vehicle to augment its existing fleet of 18 ambulances and other response vehicles. This 2023 Chevy Tahoe will be used by Hatzoloh EMTs and Paramedics who man the night shifts, incumbent on each member, to enhance the speed in responding to life-threatening calls from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. every night.

Although each member’s private car is equipped with lights and sirens, members volunteer to stay awake for one of two 3-hour shifts in the middle of the night so as to expedite response time to emergency calls.

This particular vehicle was sponsored in full by several Hatzoloh members who raised the funds alongside the most recent Hatzalathon campaign.

It goes without saying that this vehicle will be equipped with the most up-to-date emergency medical equipment, including an AED defibrillator and a fully stocked trauma kit and oxygen.
