After Lufthansa didn't allow over one hundred and fifteen frum Jews on a flight in May because allegedly a small number had not complied with mask guidelines, the airline settled with the passengers and awarded each of them approximately $21,000.
Mark Goldfeder from The American Center for Law and Justice, a public interest law firm specializing in religious liberties, defended the group. After lawyer's fees, the total award comes out to $17,400
"Although we are not commenting on the details," Lufthansa said in a statement reported by Hamodia, "we can confirm that Lufthansa endeavors to settle the claims with all of the passengers denied boarding on May 4, 2022."
