TJX to Require Employees to Wear Body Cams

TJX to Require Employees to Wear Body Cams

by M.C. Millman

TJX announced that employees will be required to wear body cameras to cut down on retail theft.

Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, and Home Goods, all stores under the TJX parent company, have already successfully utilized body cameras in several of their stores.

Rockland stores that can expect to see body cams on employees include Home Goods, located at 205 East Route 59 in Nanuet, Marshalls at 76 Rockland Plaza in Nanuet, and T.J. Maxx, located at 205 East Route 59 in Nanuet.

According to TJX, not all employees will be equipped with body cameras. Those who are expected to wear the devices will undergo training on how to use the cameras.

TJX stated that only law enforcement officers or legal representatives requesting subpoenas would have access to the camera footage.

The body cams are meant to help de-escalate incidents, deter crime, and demonstrate that the company takes in-store safety seriously.
