Senator Bill Weber Meets With New City Residents to Discuss Local Issues

Following the successful resolution to the private school transportation crisis in Suffern, Senator Bill Weber is actively working to resolve similar issues in other neighborhoods.
Senator Weber along with several constituents from New City attended a meeting Monday night at the home of a New City resident. The attendees and the senator discussed solutions to local issues, including busing challenges similar to what Suffern was dealing with. They also discussed safety issues with roads and sidewalks, as well as the lighting on some roads in New City.
“The key to finding solutions is to first listen to the problems; only then can you begin to work on finding solutions. Given my long-standing strong relationship with town and school officials, I am hopeful that we can find common ground," Senator Weber said. "My office will work tirelessly to achieve similar positive results as we were able to accomplish for Suffern Central students. I look forward to making a significant difference for New City’s hardworking, tax-paying families, as this has always been an important focus of mine and one I'll continue pursuing during the remainder of this term and into my next term in office.”
