Aerial Operations Training At Rockland County Fire Training Center
This past weekend marked the final day of the New York State Aerial Operations class at the Rockland County Fire Training Center.
Over the past few weeks, dedicated students spent a total of 45 hours learning the ins and outs of operating aerial apparatus. They gained essential hands-on experience needed to safely operate ladder trucks effectively in emergency situations.
Each class featured 3 to 4 ladder trucks from different fire departments, so students had the chance to get familiar with their neighbor’s apparatus as well — an important part of mutual aid and regional cooperation.
