Senator Bill Weber presented two outstanding Rockland businesses with the New York State Empire Award this week.
On Sunday, July 28, Seasons Express in New Hempstead was awarded for serving as an essential asset to the Rockland community. The store enhances the Village of New Hempstead's tax base and goes out of its way for the community, including serving complimentary coffee to first responders.
additionally, the Grapevine in Wesley Hills received the award from the senator today for being a tremendous community asset and providing outstanding customer service over many years. Ramapo Councilman and Business Consultant David Wanounou, Wesley Hills Mayor Marshall Katz, and Wesley Hills Trustees Mause and Krull were in attendance.
"The New York State Empire Award is the highest honor a State Senator can bestow on a local business," Senator Bill Weber shares with Rockland Daily. "These businesses stand out in an exemplary fashion in their communities. They have boosted the county economically, offering employment along with goods and services that are unique and necessary within New York's 38th District."
