Two division chiefs in the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office ascended in rank to lead new troops today, when Sheriff Louis Falco III promoted Lt. Theodore Brovarski to Chief of the Police Division and Lt. Dennis Salemo as the Chief of the Civil Enforcement Division.
Chief Brovarski, who most recently directed RC’s Intel Center, now will lead the Police Division of the Sheriff’s office, whose members ensure the protection of Rockland County’s properties, roads, thoroughfares, holdings, and interests.
In addition, the Police Division provides other specialized services to other law enforcement agencies, such as Crime Scene, Bomb and Fire Investigation, Marine, Mounted Police, Computer Crime, and Intelligence Units.
After graduating from Northeastern University in Boston, Chief Brovarski graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, before serving the past 23 years in the RC Sheriff’s Office.
Since 2007, Chief Salemo has overseen the Civil Enforcement Division, and he has served as the Sheriff’s representative on the County Illegal Housing Talk Force since 2015.
Also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Chief Salemo has served in RC’s Sheriff’s Office for the last 24 years.
Now, Chief Salemo will take the helm of the Civil Enforcement Division, which serves and enforces RC’s local, state, and federal court mandates that include property execution, sheriff sales of real and personal property, family court orders, orders of seizure, orders of attachment, citations, orders to show cause, warrants to remove, and warrants of arrest.
