Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held for Supportive Futures Foundation in West Haverstraw

On Thursday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the Supportive Futures Foundation on Route 9W, next door to the DMV, in West Haverstraw.

Supportive Futures Foundation is an organization dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve stable futures. Its mission is to help individuals and families access the tools and resources necessary to thrive. Whether it is through helping access health insurance, personalized case management, career coaching, financial literacy education, or connections to vital community resources, the organization strives to meet individuals where they are and help them navigate life’s challenges with confidence and support. The programs are designed to address pressing needs in Rockland, spanning multiple aspects of life—health, career, family, and community.

The event was attended by Assemblyman Pat Carroll (District 96), Assemblyman Aron Wieder (District 97), State Senator Bill Weber, and Rockland County Legislators Paul Cleary and Jay Hood, Ramapo Deputy Supervisor Brendel Logan, as well as representatives from County Executive Ed Day’s and Congressman Mike Lawler’s offices. During the event, the Supportive Futures Foundations was awarded certificates of merit and recognition from Senator Weber’s and Mike Lawler’s offices. Senator Weber gave a speech about the needs of Rockland and how the services will benefit the people of Rockland. He wished the organization a lot of success as it continues to help those in need. Legislator Jay Hood highlighted community values and how the services of the organization will benefit the community.

Assemblyman Weider emphasized the beauty of Rockland County and the town of Haverstraw. He encouraged attendees to look around the room and appreciate the diversity, with people from all walks of life and various backgrounds coming together for a common cause: supporting those in need. He highlighted that the organization will assist people with job placements, resume writing, and more. Wieder concluded his speech by wishing the foundation much success in their new endeavor.
