Rewriting Monsey’s History: Iconic Community Connections Turns 30 with a Stunning Rebrand

By Rockland Daily Staff
The Community Connections, Monsey's beloved weekly publication, is marking its 30th anniversary with a remarkable transformation.
Originally launched in 1995 by Mendy Pinkasovits, the publication has evolved from a modest mailer into a major print presence. For three decades, the Community Connections has been a cornerstone of Monsey life, a publication found in nearly every home in the area.
This week, it unveils a new glossy format and expanded features, including enhanced content and a focus on community engagement.
This milestone comes at a time when the world of print is increasingly shifting to glossy formats. Just this week, Der Yid, an iconic Satmar newspaper, made the transition to glossy paper, underscoring the broader trend of print media adapting to evolving reader and advertiser expectations.
The revamped publication aims to preserve its roots while embracing modern design, ensuring it remains a vital resource for local businesses and families.
