Rockland Sheriff's Office Adopts Blue Envelope Program for Drivers with Autism

By Rockland Daily Staff

The Rockland County Sheriff's Office has adopted the Blue Envelope Safety Program to assist drivers with autism during traffic stops.

Drivers can request a blue envelope, which holds their license, registration, and insurance, to alert officers of their condition. This initiative aims to improve communication and ensure a smoother interaction between drivers with autism and law enforcement.

Drivers who wish to participate can contact the Sheriff's Office at 845-638-5401 to obtain a blue envelope.
