Night of Inspiration With Miraculous Survivor of October 7 Massacre
Partners in Torah held a Night of Inspiration in Wesley Hills last night with Rabbi Eli Mansour and Roi Assaraf.
Assaraf is a survivor of the October 7 massacre that took place at the Supernova festival which Roi fled together with his wife. When a dozen terrorists fired at their car, Roi ducked beneath the steering wheel and, despite having no connection to frumkeit, called out Shema Yisroel and pressed down harder on the gas pedal. By 11 a.m. he was home with his wife, both unharmed. The Assaraf's joint response to this tremendous miracle and the gift of life was to enroll their two children in yeshiva and start keeping Shabbos. Roi shared his experience last night with those who, despite the torrential downpour, went out to hear his miraculous story in person.
The event took place at Kehillas Yeshorim of Wesley Hills on Harriet Lane.
