BDE: Mourning in Anguish in Skverer Chassidus with Passing of Mrs. Chaya Perel Brailofsky, a”h, 42 of New Square and Yerushalayim.
By: Rockland Daily staff
This morning, the tragic news came from Yerushalayim of the petirah of Mrs. Chaya Perel Brailofsky, a”h —following years of a valiant battle with the dreaded machla. She was 42 years of age, and had merited to marry off only the eldest of her nine children.
The nifteres was born in New Square to her parents Rav Moshe Menachem Taubenfeld, shlit”a—an extremely respected personality in the Skverer chassidus—and to his Rebbetzin, Hy”d, who was one of the tragic victims in the infamous “bus # 2” terror attack in the summer of 2003.
At the time, the nifteres, newly married, moved into the home of her father—assisting with the nurture and raising of her young siblings.
She was married to Reb Yosef Zecharia Brailofsky, a talmid chochom, and a chashuve yungerman from the Skverer chassidus. Eight years ago, the family moved to Yerushalayim.
Sadly, she was diagnosed with the machla only a few months ago, and succumbed in her battle Tuesday morning—leaving behind a brokenhearted family, a house filled with young orphans, and an entire community that mourns along with them.
