Skverer Kollel Doubles Salaries of Yungeleit

Merkaz Hakolellim d’Shikun Square is an empire of Torah where hundreds of yungeleit toil in Torah all day. 

This past Shemini Atzeres in the morning, Reb Mendel Berger, one of the prominent askonim and Roshei kehillah in Skver, announced to the entire chassidus—with thousands of chassidim gathered—that the Kollel will drastically raise the salaries of the yungeleit. 

The initiative is called Amudei Ha’olam, and will double the Kollel stipends of all the yungeleit, enabling them to remain among those who spend their days in the toil of Torah for longer, and with more menuchas hanefesh. 

This historic endeavor comes thanks for the incredible work of a number of askonim and prominent balebatim who took upon themselves this multi-million-dollar initiative for the honor of Torah and those engaged in its study. 

A special l’chaim took place in the home of the skverer Rebbe over sukkos for all those involved in the project, where the Rebbe expressed his gratitude and admiration for these askonim.
