Scenario of the Suffern High School Bomb Hoax

The Ramapo Police Department shared the details of this morning's swatting event that began at 7:05 this morning when the police department received a report of a security threat involving explosives at Suffern High School.
The Suffern Central School District promptly initiated its evacuation protocol, and the Ramapo Police Department initiated a coordinated response led by the RPD K9 Unit Supervisor in collaboration with the Ramapo police officer, who is assigned as the Suffern High School SRO.
Additionally, explosive detection canines were brought in from the Rockland County Sheriff's Department, New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff's Department, Bergen County Sheriff's Department, and the Town of Woodbury Police Department.
Additional emergency personnel on-site included the Tallman Fire Department, Faist Ambulance, Rockland Paramedics, and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad.
After a search of the school building and premises resulted in no explosive devices being discovered, the district administration reopened the school at 10:05 a.m.
The Ramapo Police Department Investigations Division is working with the Federal task forces to investigate this morning's event as a criminal offense. The investigators are working to identify and prosecute those responsible for the threat with the full cooperation of the Suffern Central School District.
Although the Suffern Central School District reported that buses would be delayed, Ateres Bais Yaakov reported all buses this morning were on time.
