Essential Changes to Orange & Rockland Accounts

Orange & Rockland customers will receive new 11-digit account numbers beginning October 10 of this year. 

Customers may have received an email informing them of this change. This update is important for customers to remember, especially if they use autopay through their bank's website or home banking. Customers need to update their Orange & Rockland account number if this is the case. 

Orange & Rockland also requests customers who pay by check to put their new account number on it. Customers who pay through the Orange & Rockland website, the app, or enroll in AutoPay do not need to take any action.  

Online access to customer accounts will be restricted a few days before the account number changes. Rockland residents have reported emails from Orange & Rockland notifying them that from Thursday, October 5, through Monday, October 9, access to their online accounts will be temporarily unavailable. 

For those wondering why this change is taking place, Orange & Rockland says, "We're upgrading our customer service system to serve you better."
