Rockland County to Install License Plate Readers with $116K Funding Approval

Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Sheriff Lou Falco have approved an additional $116,179 in funding for the purchase of license plate readers.

The LPR's will be installed at key ingress and egress points throughout the county, as well as in high-traffic areas in towns and villages.

The new technology is aimed at enhancing security and supporting law enforcement efforts across the region.
