Rockland County DOH offering Flu Shots March 16
If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, you can still receive the antidote to four different flu virus strains tomorrow, March 16th, when Rockland County DOH will be offering the flu vaccine on Sanatorium Rd from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The flu is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Even healthy people can get very sick from the flu and spread it to others. Getting the flu vaccine is the main way to prevent the flu and its complications.
The vaccine is free of charge if you:
• are 65 years and older (please bring identification with proof of age)
• have Medicare or Medicaid (please bring your card)
• are uninsured or underinsured
It’s not too late for you to go get your shot as the influenza season doesn’t end until May.
