Local Electeds Assist in Tomche Shabbos Pre-Pesach Distribution

Congressman Mike Lawler, New York Senator Bill Weber, former Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, and Ramapo Town Supervisor Michael Specht arrived this morning to assist Tomche Shabbos in its annual pre-Pesach food distribution at Clover Stadium.

"It was wonderful participating in the Tomche Shabbos Pre-Passover food distribution," Senator Bill Weber shares with Rockland Daily. "I'm proud to regularly attend Tomche dinners and Wednesday evening food packing. Their volunteer work is tremendous and greatly appreciated!"

Former State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick told Rockland Daily, "Rockland is lucky to have an organization like Tomche Shabbos that provides so much for those who most need assistance. I was honored to join the food distribution efforts and proud to secure a $50,000 grant for Tomche Shabbos during my time in the Senate. I’m wishing the entire community a very happy Passover."

This Pesach, Tomche Shabbos provided 1,469 families with a beautiful Pesach spending $350,000 for matza, $83,550 for gefilte fish, $65,800 for wine, $26,550 for apple juice, $49,487 for grape juice, $8,680 for seltzer, $137,066 for chicken, $63,600 for cake, $118,187 for produce, $84,370 for salmon fillets, $71,491 for eggs, $200,392 in meat.
