Governor Candidates
There are three Democrat candidates for governor: N.Y. Gov. Kathy Hochul, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, and Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.), and four Republican candidates: Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), Andrew Giuliani, Harry Wilson, and Rob Astorino.
Lieutenant Governor Candidates
Regarding lieutenant governor, three Democrats are running for this position following the federal indictment and resignation of former Lt. Gov. Brain Benjamin.
He was accused of misusing campaign funds and bribery only months after being selected by Hochul.
The three candidates are Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado, progressive advocate Ana Maria Archila, and former New York City Council Member Diana Reyna.
As the lone candidate for the Republican party's nomination Alison Esposito, is running unopposed, there is no Republican primary for lieutenant governor.
There are no assembly primaries in Rockland.
