Governor Hochul Announces Construction for Clarkstown Highway Bridge

Governor Hochul announced today that work is beginning on three highway bridges in Hudson Valley as part of a $17.4 million project to improve infrastructure.
This new project will install new decks, repair roads and more along State Route 52 in Orange County, State Route 304 in Rockland County, and Illington Road in Westchester County, which are used by thousands of drivers every day to reach major highways.
Construction on the Route 304 bridge over Interstate 287 in Clarkstown will begin in the coming months and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026. The bridge, originally built in 1953, will be reduced to one lane in each direction during construction.
“The rehabilitation of these three Hudson Valley bridges will ease travel through some of the region’s busiest travel corridors, which will strengthen our economy, improve quality of life and public safety, and help keep our communities prosperous,” Governor Hochul said in a statement.
