Enhancements Made To Stop Signs At Busy Intersection

By Idy Perl
Enhancements have been made to the stop signs at the corner of Forshay Road and South Parker Drive, where many accidents have occured, most recently earlier this week.
Flashing lights were installed on the stop signs today in order to make it more visible to drivers and ensure that they come to a full stop.
"There had been concerns about recent traffic accidents occuring at this intersection," Michael Specht tells Rockland Daily. "Forshay Road is a county road, so we reached out to the county Highway Department to see what we can do. South Parker Drive is a town road and already had stop signs on both sides, but today we added flashing lights around the rims so it'll get the drivers' attention and make them stop before turning onto Forshay Road."
