ROCKLAND WEATHER

With Spring Around the Corner, Snow on the way Wednesday Morning

With Spring Around the Corner, Snow on the way Wednesday Morning

By: Yaker Biegeleisen

With one week to Purim, and two weeks to the official start to spring, snow and freezing rain is expected for Wednesday morning.

Snow begins in the early morning hours, around 7-8:00 a.m., and will accumulate to about 1-3 inches on cars and some surfaces by the time it’s done.

It will turn to sleet, then freezing rain, sometime during the morning, concluding in early afternoon.

The snow is the result of a storm coming from the Gulf of Mexico to our south, colliding with the fresh cold air from our north—resulting in snow and sleet.

The rest of the week looks dry and mild, until shabbos when we may see some more inclement weather.
