Village of Spring Valley Holds Luncheon in Honor of Spring Valley Police Department

A Police Week luncheon recognizing the Spring Valley Police Department's ongoing efforts took place this afternoon at the Village of Spring Valley Town Hall.

"We are here to address the needs of the community," Sergeant Rony Charles said to attendees, "not by what we think the community needs but by going around the street in the community, talking to people, and finding out what their problems are, what areas are  problematic, and addressing those areas." 

Sergeant Charles gave an example of how the police department realized that the community was particularly vulnerable to scams and is working to inform and prevent residents from falling for scams. 

"I was happy to be on hand to show my appreciation to all the members of the Spring Valley police department," Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder shares with Rockland Daily. "The department's dedication to our community is truly commendable."
