Three Suspects Arrested For Anti-Semitic Incident
By Rockland Daily Staff
Spring Valley Police released a statement regarding the arrest of three suspects who were involved in an anti-semitic incident last month.
On August 10th at around 7:30pm, two girls were walking down Lawler Blvd when a car suddenly passed by and the occupants of the car fired a small pellet at them while yelled anti-semitic slurs. The pellet hit one of the girls but they were both unharmed.
Spring Valley Police immediately launched an investigation into the identity of the driver and passengers of the vehicle. After several weeks they identified the suspects as 19-year old Nicholas Sanchez and two juveniles. They also determined that the projectile was from a toy gun that fired gel pellets.
The suspects were arrested and charged with Aggravated harassment 2nd degree, based on race/religion, and were then released on appearance tickets for a future court date.
