Sweet Chili Edamame
Make these sweet edamame treats as a side dish to your chicken and fish dinners!
They are addictively delicious.
3 cloves of garlic
1 small chili pepper
1 teaspoon oil
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
12 oz shelled edamame
Finely mince the garlic and the chili pepper. Heat the oil over medium heat. Prepare the brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Add the garlic and the garlic and chili pepper to the oil and sauté for about a minute or two until fragrant. Keep stirring, so the garlic doesn’t burn. Add in the rest of the ingredients besides the edamame. Bring to a low boil and allow it to cook for five minutes or until thickened. Add in the frozen edamame and cook until the edamame is fully defrosted and the liquid slightly evaporates. Remove from heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving. The liquid will become stickier as it cools.
