Rockland County Click It or Ticket Campaign Begins Today

Rockland County's police department will join national law enforcement agencies across the United States in participating in the upcoming Click It or Ticket Campaign.

Starting today, the national Click It Or Ticket campaign supported by the NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (NYS GTSC) begins with officers patrolling for unbelted drivers and unrestrained passengers. During the campaign, police agencies at the local and state levels, including the Ramapo Police Department, will be out doing their job with an increased focus on making sure drivers and passengers keep themselves safe by buckling up while driving.

The yearly campaign concludes on June 2. It stresses the importance of wearing a seatbelt, as buckling up is the most effective action to protect the driver and any passengers during a crash.
