Ramapo Police Investigate Sunday's Bomb Threat At Walmart

By Idy Perl

Ramapo Police are investigating the bomb threat that forced Walmart shoppers to evacuate the store Sunday evening.

Police report that two individuals entered the store at around 7:15pm and informed staff members that they had a bomb. The two individuals left shortly after, and shoppers immediately evacuated while police swept the entire building. After a thorough search police confirmed that they didn't find a bomb.

A similar bomb threat was made on Saturday evening in Westchester at the Ardsley Country Club in Irvington. Just as with the Walmart incident, police searched the premises and didn't find any bombs. It is unclear if the two incidents are related.

No further information is available at this time while police continue to investigate.
