More safe sidewalks are coming to Nyack!

The Village of Nyack Board of Trustees announced yesterday that they have established a fund for the Sidewalk Incentive Program, which aims to bring safe sidewalks to all of Nyack. Sidewalks make it easier and safer for pedestrians to walk on the streets and alleviate traffic by encouraging more people to walk.

The fund will reimburse property owners up to 50% of the cost of installing or repairing sidewalks on their property. The reimbursement is capped at $1,500 but goes up to $2,000 for residents making less than the county median income.
