From Eyesore to Oasis - Transforming Lake Suzanne

In what has long been a project in the works, Lake Suzanne in Monsey will receive a complete makeover. 

The plans include a wide boardwalk with three entry points and two breakout points, one extending into the middle of the lake to take in the fountain and the second extending to the recently constructed dam to take in the falls cascading over the side.

"We expect this project to be finished within the year," Legislator Aron Wieder shares exclusively with Rockland Daily. "We already have renderings and have sent out bids. It is an idea whose time has come, and I'm just happy to share it now, right before Yom Tov, as I know how much a project like this will mean to the community."

The project is being funded in full by the American Rescue Plan Act.
