Exploring Rockland: Children’s Park

Children's Park, which is tucked away in a quiet corner of Chestnut Ridge, is the perfect, serene spot for a family outing, a nice walk, or a ballgame.

Children’s Park has a beautiful lake at its center with a paved walking path that goes around the lake. The walking path has some longer detours through the nearby woods and along a creek. In addition to scattered benches and picnic tables, there’s a covered picnic area that juts out a bit over the lake, making for a perfect spot to sit and look out on the water.

There are also scattered play areas with swings, slides, and other park equipment for kids, and large tennis, baseball, and basketball courts near the entrance of the park.
