By Idy Perl
As his senate campaign continues, Elijah Reichlin-Melnick has started a tour of various local businesses and stores to meet and talk with with local business owners.
The tour brings Reichlin-Melnick in direct contact with businessmen and their employees to hear how the senator's office would be able to help businesses thrive. Whether its grants, permits, new legislation or more, Reichlin-Melnick wants to hear how local businesses can be better served. In addition, Reichlin-Melnick plans to have a liason from the Jewish community in his office to help facilitate communication between the community and the senator's office.
Reichlin-Melnick started the tour yesterday at Medrite, where he spoke with the owner, managers, and employees to hear about their business and how the senate's office would be able to help it improve.
"I enjoyed meeting with the owner, manager and the rest of the staff at Medrite in Spring Valley, and was extremely impressed with the work they do to keep the community healthy. I'm committed to supporting healthcare providers like Medrite when I'm in the Senate, "Elijah Reichlin- Melnick tells Rockland Daily. "I am looking forward to meeting many more owners and employees of small and large businesses alike to see their daily operations, and to meet the people who keep this district going. My goal is to fully understand the needs of the community and its businesses so I can be prepared to assist them once I take office in January."
