TikTok Prankster Taking Advantage Of Unsuspecting Local Shoppers

Shoppers in Walmart and The Hive Discount in Suffern were recently harassed by a TikToker filming prank videos.

In videos posted to his TikTok account, the young man is seen going up to unsuspecting shoppers and repeatedly asking inappropriate questions meant to provoke a reaction and humiliate the shoppers.

“A man who was obviously unstable came into the Hive Discount/Walmart mall and went from store to store, harassing customers,” The Hive Discount management tells Rockland Daily. “The police were available immediately to assess that there was no danger, simply a nuisance. At this time we have no reason to believe this was a targeted event.”

According to one victim who wrote about his experience on LinkedIn, the prankster videoed the interaction with Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which means potential targets might not immediately realize that the young man is playing a prank and videoing it.

Local shoppers are urged not to engage if someone starts asking inappropriate questions and to reach out to law enforcement if the harassment escalates.
