Rockland to Utilize State Funding to Repair Two Bridges

Rockland to Utilize State Funding to Repair Two Bridges

by M.C. Millman

Hudson Valley municipalities will receive $60.1 million for twenty-four projects from New York State's BRIDGE NY program focused on rehabilitating and replacing bridges and culverts.

Two of the twenty-four projects are for Rockland bridges. The funding will address severe weather and failing infrastructure to make communities more robust, infrastructure more resilient, and more equipped to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

$928,000 of BRIDGE NY funding will be used to rehabilitate the Pascack Road bridge over Pascack Brook. $2.911 million of the funding will be directed to the Town of Orangetown to replace the Margaret Keahon Drive bridge over Muddy Brook in Pearl River.
