New Square Hatzolah Members Assist Unconscious Patient en Route to Krakow

A minyan en route from New York to be mispalel at the
tziyun of the Tosafos Yom Tov encountered a medical incident midflight,
and, as Yidden always do, two jumped in to help.
Part of the delegation was R’ Naftuli Muschel and R’ Yankel
Friedman, New Square Hatzolah members with many years of medical experience in
saving lives.
So, when they heard the call over the loudspeaker that a
woman had passed out on the floor of the plane, they rushed over to administer
medical assistance.
“The captain was afraid he would have to make an emergency
landing,” Reb Yankel says, “but we were able to assure him that this was a relatively minor incident, and this was unnecessary. We revived the woman, and
we remained with her for an hour until she was feeling better, and we returned
to our seats.”
“The crew was extremely grateful and wanted to thank us
publicly over the intercom, but we declined,” Friedman said. “We were just
happy in the right place at the right time and to assist a fellow passenger in
need.”
