Update on E. Hickory Street Robbery and Knife Assault

The Ramapo Police Department Investigations Division reports the arrest of Emmanuel Michel, a 47-year-old resident of Spring Valley, in connection with the violent attack that occurred Monday evening, November 17, 2025.

Following their investigation, detectives identified Michel as a suspect and subsequently took him into custody. He has been charged with the following offenses:

• Attempted Murder in the Second Degree - PL 125.25 (1) 

• Assault in the First Degree - PL 120.10 (1)

• Robbery in the First Degree - PL 160.15 (2)

• Stalking in the First Degree - PL 120.60 (1)

• Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree - PL 265.02 (1)

• Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree - PL 165.45 (2)

Michel was transported to the Ramapo Police Department, where he was processed on the above charges. He is expected to be arraigned in Ramapo Town Court.
