Well Attended Event Launches Senator Weber's Re-Election Campaign

by M.C. Millman
Senator Bill Weber launched his re-election campaign last night at the Doubletree Hotel in Nanuet.
Among the many community leaders, askanim, and elected officials, attendees also included Congressmen Mike Lawler and Lee Zeldin, who both addressed the audience.
Congressman Lawler stressed the importance of remaining united, which he credited with having led to their success at the polls in 2022. He also spoke about how someone like the Senator was the kind of person he needed to partner with at other levels of government.
Senator Weber spoke passionately about his office's efforts for the people of Israel during these trying times and the many residents in his district still trying to get home.
The Senator also detailed the importance of pushing back against the craziness coming out of Albany, including the out-of-control, reckless spending. He shared how being one of just two CPAs in the State Legislature gives him a unique perspective along with the ability to analyze budgets and find ways to cut spending.
Additionally, the Senator brought up how New Yorkers are less safe due to ridiculous laws out of Albany. Coming from a family of law enforcement, as he does, gives the Senator all the more reason to continue to work tirelessly to combat those laws in order to keep his constituents safe.
Congressman Zeldin shared his high hopes for the Senator's re-election, sharing that during the mid-term elections, whichever party holds the presidency usually causes the pendulum to swing the other way. The Congressman stated that this bodes well for Senator Weber.
