Town of Ramapo Paper Shredding Day Coming up on Sunday

by M. C. Millman

The Town of Ramapo is offering free and secure paper shredding service on Sunday, October 29.

There is a limit of three banker boxes per car. Banker boxes measure approximately 24 by 15 by 11. The paper shredding event is open to all Rockland County residents but not to businesses or non-profits and will be open on a first-come, first-served basis until the trucks are full. No plastic bags, binders, or other plastics are allowed. Paper clips and staples are acceptable.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Spook Rock pool parking lot at 171 Spook Rock Road in Suffern.

The paper shredding event is in addition to the two events that usually occur each year. It was added thanks to Town of Ramapo Supervisor Specht, who heeded the volume of requests from the public to hold another Sunday event after the last shredding event took place on Shabbos during Sukkos.
