Today: Lyme Disease Awareness Event At Finkelstein Library

Last week, Senator Bill Weber announced a Lyme Disease Awareness event that will be taking place today, July 22, at the Finkelstein Library.
The event will educate parents, educators, and local residents on how to prevent and respond to ticks and Lyme disease. The panelists at the event will include Dr. Azfar Chak, Chief of Infectious Diseases, Montefiore Nyack, Juliette Content, Public Health Education Specialist, Rockland County Department of Health, and Kristen Ossmann, Horticulture Educator, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County.
Free tick removal tools and tick combs will be provided courtesy of Senator Weber, along with educational lyme disease brochures and children’s activity books.
The event will take place at the Finkelstein Memorial Library in the Fielding Room at 4pm.
