Thousands without Electricity in Massive Power Outage in Rockland

A massive power outage occurred this afternoon affecting traffic lights and power to thousands of homes in Monsey, New Square, New City, and other neighborhoods.

The outage comes as a result of a fallen tree due to high winds in New City.

Utility workers responded quickly to the scene and are working to restore power. 

Traffic lights ate being restored, and many homes in the area got their power back on shortly thereafter.
