BDE: Reb Meir Tzvi Grunwald, z”l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Meir Tzvi Grunwald, z”l, a longtime resident of New Square, and a pillar of the chassidus. He was in his mid-70’s, and struggled with the dreaded disease in recent years. 

The niftar was born in the town of Pupa, Hungary, following the war, and became an ardent Talmid of the previous Pupa Rov, zt”l, who imbued him with tremendous yiras Shamayim which remained with him for a lifetime. 

He married the daughter of Reb Duvid Felberbaum of Skver, and there established a beautiful family of chassidim and yirei Shamayim. 

He was known for making hand-tied tzitzis, and for his deep ehrlichkeit and yiras Shamayim. He maintained an ardent connection and bittul to the Tzaddikim of Skver, Pupa, and Tosh. In general, he had deep humility and temimus and bittul to every ehrliche Yid. 

The levaya will take place this evening in New Square, and Kevurah will be on the bais hachaim.
